Core column products are widely used in power transformers and distribution transformers, as well as in power, communications, and medical fields. They are mainly applied in transformers, reactors, and current transformers. Grain-oriented silicon steel is processed to align the [100] axis of the cubic crystal structure with the rolling direction, while non-oriented silicon steel has a random structure. Therefore, grain-oriented silicon steel is mainly used in transformers requiring anisotropic properties in stationary conditions.
